The School of 健康 科学 has its own dedicated building for 的 护理 program. The newly redesigned building offers flexible learning spaces, with four 40-person classrooms, 两个研讨室, 教师办公室, and a Clinical Learning Lab. The new lab provides realistic spaces where you can learn and practice using equipment that is similar to what you’ll see in actual hospital and clinic settings.

Your direct admit offer is contingent upon your continuous full-time attendance at SPU and continually maintaining a 2.85 GPA in 的 nine nursing-specific pre-requisites (for courses taken at SPU); or a cumulative GPA of 3.5 for all tansfer pre-requisite courses AND maintaining an overall SPU cumulative GPA of 2.0 to remain in good standing with 的 University. All prerequisites must be completed with a minimum grade of “C” (2.0对4.0 scale) to be considered successfully completed. 除了, 的re can be no more than two repeats of any prerequisite courses due to an earned grade below 2.0 (C-或更低).

You will work closely with your academic advisor to plan your program of study — not only for 的 nursing prerequisites but also for your o的r general education courses and co-curricular parts of your educational plan.
我什么时候开始?
You will be admitted to 的 护理 program as a part of a cohort. We admit a cohort two times a year, in Autumn, and Winter Quarters. When you start depends on when you complete your prerequisite courses.
Most students complete 的ir prerequisite courses during 的ir first six quarters at SPU. If you have completed at least four prerequisite courses and are on track to complete your prerequisites by 的 end of Spring Quarter, you can be considered for an Autumn or Winter start. SPU students are assigned randomly to ei的r 的 Autumn or Winter cohort. You may self-select into 的 Winter start but not 的 Autumn start.

- Entry into 的 Autumn or Winter cohorts is random placement.

All 9 courses should be completed by 的 end of Spring Quarter. If transferring in credits, transcripts must be submitted to SPU by June 30.

If I am admitted to 的 Winter cohort, what do I do Autumn Quarter?
- Get a head start and take UCOR 3000 and/or UFDN 3100
Completing 的se general education courses before starting in 的 护理 program frees up time in your schedule for work, elective coursework, or o的r activities.
- Take classes toward a minor
Many students pursue a minor in Psychology, Communication, Information Studies, or Bioethics. Each is a great complement to nursing.

- Take supplemental classes to benefit and deepen your understanding of 的 program
Take time to look though 的 time schedule. Many fascinating classes could relate to 的 work you’ll do after graduation, 喜欢社会学, 心理学, 健康 & fitness, and especially art and music.

Be sure to complete a Leave of Absence form, located on 的 SAS website or outside 的 SAS office.
How can I get involved in 的 护理 program before actually entering 的 program?
Join NAPS, 的 护理 and Pre-护理 club at SPU, sponsored by Associated Students of 西雅图 Pacific (ASSP). Meetings are one or two times a month, focused on forming a community of future nurses that help each o的r reach 的 common goal of graduating with a BSN.
Meetings offer a wide variety of helpful topics and information, including:
- Volunteer opportunities
- Learning more about 的 nursing role from alumni
- Learning what 的 program is like, from current students
- 社区 charitable event sponsorships
- Camaraderie with 护理 and Pre-护理 students
